San Sebastian, Bilbao, Olite, Bardenas Reales...

To 52 km from Baraibar, San Sebastian is a beautiful city on the coast. It is dominated by the fantastic bay of La Concha, the port and the river Urumea.
In its picturesque old town, the bars offer the most tempting pintxos in the world.
All this, together with international events such as the San Sebastián International Film Festival, the Jazz Festival or the San Sebastian Horror Film Festival, has outreach to the city, despite its small size. San Sebastian will be European Capital of Culture in 2016 together with Wroclaw.

 

 

To 150 km from Baraibar, Bilbao is the capital of the province of Biscay, in  the Basque Country. The town of Bilbao extends along the estuary of the river Nervión. The village is surrounded by two mountain ranges.
Throughout the nineteenth century and early twentieth century experienced a strong industrialization. Today it is a thriving city of services, which is in a process of aesthetic, social and economic revitalization led by the symbolic Museum Guggenheim Bilbao. Also worth mentioning is the very interesting Museum of Fine Arts.
Other attractions are the old quarter , the Ribera market, Albia Gardens, Gran Via, the Arriaga theater, etc ...

 

 

 

 

To 83 km from Baraibar, Olite is in the middle of Navarre, on the banks of river Zidacos. A 42 km south of Pamplona. There we find El Castillo de Olite.
Because of the  archaeological remains we know that  in Roman imperial period (I century AD.), a strong city wall defended a small hill where later the medieval village was founded. Also around the

To 37 km from Baraibar, Tolosa is a town in the province of Guipuzcoa, in the Basque Country . Located in the valley of the   Oria River, it has a population of 18,232 inhabitants.
Well known for its markets and fairs are held every Saturday, giving the

To 124 km from Baraibar, Las Bardenas Reales of Navarra are a semidesert natural area of 42,000 ha that stretches in south of Navarra (Spain). Its soils are clay, gypsum and sandstone and have been eroded by water and wind creating surprising forms in which  the canyons, plateaus of tabular structure and the solitary hills, hillocks are spectacular.
